There are many tourist attractions in the town itself including the National Opera House and Selskar Abbey, and close by there is a variety of beautiful beaches. There is plenty for all ages including swimming pools, playgrounds, cinema and bowling for younger children.
Wexford Town has a vibrant and varied nightlife and plenty of fine restaurants to choose from. Wexford is also a great place for a shopping break, with many beautiful boutiques, big name stores and fine craft shops.
Kilmore Quay has a reputation as an angling centre species of fish available include bass,cod,shark, tope, ling, mackrel, bream, pollock, skate and whiting. It is an amazing location for diving as the area from Hook Head to Carnesore Point has long been known as the graveyard of a thousand ships. The fishing harbour has the added attraction of a leisure marina which has added a new dimension to the south coast with a sailing school, angling, diving and boat trips.
