Lakeside Holiday Homes are situated on Lough Derg, with its picturesque waterway, ideal for all kinds of water sports, sailing, cruising and angling, especially mayfly fishing on the lake. With its beautiful countryside around Lough Derg lake shore, perfect for hill walking in East Clare with surrounding Mountshannon hills, boat hire for Holy Island, cycling, horseriding and other visitor pursuits.

The Lake provides great potential for fun.
Boating and fishing are the two big activities and boats can be rented at the harbour.
Lough Derg is a large lake and a boat trip around the bay or islands can take some time, but it's a great way to get in touch with the nature of Mountshannon.
Large cruisers can be rented nearby also combining both transport and accommodation.There are many places to eat both walking and driving distances. In Mountshannon itself, there is The Snug and the Mountshannon Hotel on the Main Street.
Only 20 minutes drive down the road and cross over the Shannon you are in Ballina, Co. Tipperary where you can dine in the renowned "Goosers" for lunch or evening meals.

This house has an open plan layout with stylish design features.
It has living room, kitchen and balcony upstairs with bedrooms and bathrooms downstairs. It has gas fired central heating, en-suite bathrooms and private decking areas for watching the sun set while sipping a glass of wine.
There are three bedrooms all downstairs, 1 double ensuite, 1 twin room and 1 single room which has a pull out bed.
There is a large green area for children to play.
The harbour has shallow water swimming area ideal for children. It is semi-enclosed by a harbour wall and jetties and is attended by trained life guards in the summer season.

Travel cots are available on request at no extra charge
Towels not included but may be hired at a cost of €3 per set.
Electricity and Gas are meter read and payable upon departure.
Broadband is available in the Holiday Homes for a fee.
Pets are permitted allowed, there is a €25 charge per pet.

Aillwee Cave
Located in The Burren, Ballyvaughan. Opening hours are 10am to 6.30pm which is the time of the last guided tour. Tours run every 15-20 minutes. Stroll through the caves, over bridge chasms and weird formations. See the amazing waterfalls including a frozen waterfall and explore the hibernation cambers of brown bears that once lived in Ireland.
Bunratty Castle & Folk Park, Bunratty, Co.Clare
Opening times 9.00am to 5.30pm last admission to the castle 4pm and last admission to the folk park 4.15pm. An authentic medieval fortress with an amazing collection of medieval furniture. Enjoy exploring the castle and Folk Park. Also a beautiful walled garden that has been restored to its former glory and is one of the best gardens in Ireland to visit.
Cliffs of Moher
Admission Adult 6euro under 16 free and senior citizen/student/disabled visitor 4 euro.
Irelands most visited natural attraction. Eco friendly visitor centre is set into the hillside and offers an all-weather experience. Stunning views of Atlantic coastline along 600m of pathways. Enjoy food at the Puffins nest and The long dock restaurant.
The beautiful beach sweeps past the town and creates waves for surfing. It lends a lovely backdrop to one of the finest golf courses in Europe as well.
The Burren
The burren is 350 sq meters of limestone plateau in North Clare. The rough, intriguing and amazing landscape was formed 320 million years ago. It was later shaped by ice, hard weather and of course man. It has natural beauty that is a must see in Clare.
It is a small coastal town located on the rugged West coast of county Clare. The town is particularly popular Irish seaside resort. Kilkee and the Loop Head Peninsula has breath-taking scenic walks and stunning sea cliff panoramic views as well as all other amenities that are available in the area.
FR Teds House
Located in beautiful valley with Slieve Na Glasha in North Clare. Visits are pre booking only by calling +353 87 921 4694. They provide a relaxed atmosphere and delicious home baking while relating the story of Fr Ted and the history of the house and locality. You can also arrange a guided tour of the farm with it rich heritage and traditions.
