Cabo Roig beach has been awarded the coveted Blue Flag Award which is only given to outstandingly clean beaches with good facilities. Its wide, sandy beach has fine white sand and safe bathing making it particularly good for families.
Cabo Roig has good motorway and road links and is within easy reach of both Murcia and Alicante Airports. It is a good base for exploring the rest of the Costa Blanca and its fascinating towns and cities.

The southern Costa Blanca's beachfront with places like Torrevieja, Playa Flamenca, La Zenia & Cabo Roig offers not only kilometre long white sand beaches and beautiful bays it is also known for its water quality. The healthy Mediterranean Sea climate in combination with the Salt Lakes is not only good for rheumatism and asthma sufferers.
The two large salt lakes, the lagoon of Torrevieja and La Mata form together an approximately 2,100 hectare of large nature reserve which 1994 was placed under protection and serves mainly for the salt winning and as a bird protected area. A newly designed and expanded bicycle path witch stretches altogether over five kilometres along a pine tree forest, reed areas, Eukalyptus trees, the vines of La Mata and the fresh water reservoir. You can also explore the area by horse and enjoy the pleasant quietness.
Torrevieja offers two large yacht harbours the "Marina International" and "Real Club Nautico" with 1,500 landing places and a lot of different water sports activities. From the harbour you can also board the Ferry for a trip to the island Tabarca.
The dock wall of Torrevieja is the longest accessible at the Mediterranean Sea and offers an entirely own view of the city. In the evenings you can stroll along the markets / flea markets at the Paseo Maritimo, Paseo de la Libertad or Paseo Vista Alegre or just take a plunge into the vast night life.

Many of the beaches along the southern Costa Blanca and Costa Calida have held the European Blue Flag for their quality and clean seas for several years. With their fine sand and crystal clear waters, they are without doubt amongst the most frequented along the Mediterranean coast.

The weekly Friday market in Torrevieja is one of the most extensive and best visited at the southern Costa Blanca. Playa Flamenca and other areas around Torrevieja offer weekly markets as well known in Cabo Roig there is a market every Thursday
If you want to escape the vibrant Spanish market life then visit one of the museums or try one of the famouse Golf courses in Villamartin, Las Ramblas or Campoamor.Througe the excellent road network of the motorway AP7 and the coast road N-332 day trips to Murcia, Alicante and Cartagena are a great opportunity and trips to the airport in Alicante only take 45 min. and to San Javier airport only 25 min.
Both the Costa Blanca and Costa Calida are a true golfer’s paradise. The year-round climate makes it ideal for a round of golf at any time.
Courses such as Villamartin although not a terribly long course has personality and has been cleverly adapted to the terrain thanks to the designer’s keen imagination. The back-tees are for the best players only.
La Marquesa Golf
A bit further north lies La Marquesa golf course with gently rolling slopes that lend themselves to facilitate every conceivable variety expected of a fine Golf Course. The round is bordered by streams and lakes, which gives the course excellent views and provides beautiful natural surroundings to play in.
