Formerly a fishing port, the harbour at Ballyvaughan is now mainly used for pleasure craft and sporting activities.
The village lies at the edge of the Burren region on the southern shore of Galway Bay. These holiday cottages are located in the centre of the village and are within walking distance of all amenities, including traditional singing pubs and excellent seafood restaurants.
Corconroe Abbey, the Ailwee Caves, the Portal Dolman and many other historical landmarks are a short drive away, or if you prefer to relax, there are sandy beaches within easy access.

Location Details

Aillwee Cave
Located in The Burren, Ballyvaughan. Opening hours are 10am to 6.30pm which is the time of the last guided tour. Tours run every 15-20 minutes. Stroll through the caves, over bridge chasms and weird formations. See the amazing waterfalls including a frozen waterfall and explore the hibernation cambers of brown bears that once lived in Ireland.
Bunratty Castle & Folk Park, Bunratty, Co.Clare
Opening times 9.00am to 5.30pm last admission to the castle 4pm and last admission to the folk park 4.15pm. An authentic medieval fortress with an amazing collection of medieval furniture. Enjoy exploring the castle and Folk Park. Also a beautiful walled garden that has been restored to its former glory and is one of the best gardens in Ireland to visit.
Cliffs of Moher
Admission Adult 6euro under 16 free and senior citizen/student/disabled visitor 4 euro.
Irelands most visited natural attraction. Eco friendly visitor centre is set into the hillside and offers an all-weather experience. Stunning views of Atlantic coastline along 600m of pathways. Enjoy food at the Puffins nest and The long dock restaurant.
Lahinch
The beautiful beach sweeps past the town and creates waves for surfing. It lends a lovely backdrop to one of the finest golf courses in Europe as well.
The Burren
The burren is 350 sq meters of limestone plateau in North Clare. The rough, intriguing and amazing landscape was formed 320 million years ago. It was later shaped by ice, hard weather and of course man. It has natural beauty that is a must see in Clare.
Kilkee
It is a small coastal town located on the rugged West coast of county Clare. The town is particularly popular Irish seaside resort. Kilkee and the Loop Head Peninsula has breath-taking scenic walks and stunning sea cliff panoramic views as well as all other amenities that are available in the area.

They provide a relaxed atmosphere and delicious home baking while relating the story of Fr Ted and the history of the house and locality. You can also arrange a guided tour of the farm with it rich heritage and traditions.
