Kilmore Quay Castleview House, situated just a 10 minute walk from the fishing village and beach of Kilmore Quay, Co. Wexford enjoys a truly amazing location with views over the burrow of Kilmore Quay.

Kilmore Quay is a beautiful traditional Irish fishing village located on the south coast of County Wexford in the South East of Ireland. This is an un-spoilt village, with thatched cottages dotted throughout, beautiful coastal walks, and the fabulous Saltee Islands off the coast which hosts one of the largest bird sanctuaries in Europe.

Kilmore Quay can deliver a host of activities to accommodate your visit from Crafts, Chartered Boats, Diving, Sailing, Shore Angling and an array Wildlife attractions.

Foodies will love the local restaurants, where seafood is a speciality and fresh fish and chips at the award winning Saltee Chipper, or enjoy a pint in one of the many Pubs in the village.

One of only three marinas in Ireland to hold this award, Kilmore Quay Marina has been awarded yet another Blue Flag at a recent ceremony in Dublin.

Castleview House is located in a quiet cul de sac and has both front and rear landscaped gardens. This magnificent house has 5 bedrooms, a fully fitted Kitchen with all modern conveniences and a dining table for up to 10 guests. The sitting room area overlooks the landscaped garden and the sunroom is perfect for a relaxing evening.

Kilmore Quay
Kilmore Quay has a reputation as an angling centre species of fish available include bass,cod,shark, tope, ling, mackrel, bream, pollock, skate and whiting. It is an amazing location for diving as the area from Hook Head to Carnesore Point has long been known as the graveyard of a thousand ships. The fishing harbour has the added attraction of a leisure marina which has added a new dimension to the south coast with a sailing school, angling, diving and boat trips. Kilmore Quay and the area around it has many unspoilt beaches which offer miles of the finest sand dunes in the south-east. The boat themed playground is a big hit with the kids.

Irish National Heritage Park
Located in Ferrycarrig
Open May to August daily 9.30am to 6.30pm last admission at 5pm.
September to April daily 9.30am to 5.30pm last admission at 3pm.
Take a tour around the full scale reconstruction of ancient houses, forts and tombs. Lovely gift shop and restaurant. Two playgrounds for kids. Guided tours and archery available.

Hook Lighthouse
Located at the end of the R734
Open June to August 10am to 5.30pm
Rest of the year 11am to 5pm
The granddaddy of all lighthouses and has been voted number 1 lighthouse in the world. One of the oldest operational lighthouses in the world. It has a visitor’s centre, a café serving light meals and a gift shop. Guided tours, whale watching and family fun.

Wells House & Gardens
Located between Wexford town and Gorey
Open May to September 10am – 6pm daily
October to April 11am -4pm
Attractions: The Lady Frances Woodland walk where you can find the gruffalow and fairy doors on trees, Victorian Terrace Gardens, Adventure Playground, Craft Courtyard, Mrs Stone Tearooms, Wells Archery, Living Victorian House Tour, Wells Falconry please pre-book.

Duncannon Fort Visitor Centre
Located in Duncannon New Ross
Opening times June-September daily 10am to 5.30pm
Rest of the year 10am to 4.30pm Guided tours available from 10am to 5pm
It is home to a Toy Museum, Art Gallery, Maritime and Military Museum, Croppy Boy Cell, Officers Tearoom and Craft Shop.

Kia Ora Mini Farm
Located between Gorey and Courtown
Opening times: April to October daily 10am to5.30pm
November to December open at weekends
Easter Daily 10am to 5.30pm
Once paid in you get access to all attractions at no extra charge. You can feed and hold the animals. Milk a cow, get lost in a maze, dig in the sandpits, drive on the go-kart tracks, play football on the football pitch and dig with the mini diggers suitable for adults and kids. Picnics are welcome. Accessible for wheelchairs and buggy’s.

Rosslare Strand
Located on the southern edge of Wexford Harbour. It has received the International Blue Flag award for 2014. The beach is accessed by various walkways and from its main car park. The beach is life guarded during the bathing season. There are many shops, pubs and restaurants in the area and Rosslare Water sports Centre offering windsurfing, kayaking and sailing lessons.
